YES! Kids are welcome to our ceremony and wedding weekend. Young kids may not be happy camping/glamping if they're entirely dependent on quiet nights to rest. If you have concerns about them being at the reception and after party, you might be better off leaving them with loved ones or booking a nearby hotel. We anticipate a rowdy night full of great people and tears of laughter.
Can we bring our dog?
No. Smokey Dog would love to play with your buddy but due to the limitations of the location, and our massive list of dog-loving friends, we need to ask you leave your dog at home. All dogs are not going to Lotus.
Our wedding is technically in Lotus, a town bordering Coloma, on the American River at a riverside raft tour campsite called Earthtrek Expeditions. From Truckee/Reno the fastest way is to take I-80W to Auburn, then State Route 49 to our spot. From Sacramento or the Bay, take I-80E toward Sacramento, find your way to 50 and bypass Placerville. Are you registered?
As we save for an epic future ahead, a dream purchase is a Sprinter van. If you would like to donate to the cause, a way for us to see the world and adventure together, you can do so here. Bottom line, we would prefer to have you at our wedding than to have you stress about giving us anything. We are grateful for your friendship and love and this is our chance to celebrate together.
